www.amazon.co.uk I use this toothbrush once per-day usually in the mornings (for 6-7 mins) and then in the evenings use a manual toothbrush. My dentist reckons that 7-8 years of using Braun electric toothbrushes has saved my teeth from serious dental work ! and there is no better evidence than that, that these toothbrushes really work at removing plaque and disease. The trick is using them correctly, holding the brush on each tooth for 3-4 seconds slowly working your way around the teeth. It gives an amazing, very thorough clean. It is not quite as good at working up into the gum line as a manual brush, hence why I use a manual in the evenings to scrub under the gum line. But even if you only ever use this toothbrush I reckon you will see improvements over a manual brush alone. I believe the 4000 model is all the brush you'll even need, although I have used cheaper Braun models and they are just as good. The timer in the handle is very useful and the brush buzzes every 30 seconds to remind you to switch sides and let you know the minimal bushing time - I always exceed it. The feature that tells you, you are pushing too hard against the teeth is also good (tone of the motor changes). The various modes of brushing are nonsense; you'll only ever use one `normal' mode after a few weeks of experimenting. If you want to keep your teeth, then get on of these because it's the plaque that will kill your teeth and this thing will help remove it....simple as that !
